1.Preheat oven to moderate, 180°C. Lightly grease a 10 x 20cm loaf pan.
2.In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, beat the spread and sugar together until creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
3.Sift flour and spices together, returning husks to mixture. Fold into spread mixture with banana, coconut, milk, pecans and dates. Spoon into prepared pan.
4.Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a skewer inserted in centre comes out clean and dry. Cool in pan for 5 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve, or toast.
