Ingredients

Method

1.Heat a frying pan on high. Spray with cooking oil spray. Stir-fry beef in batches for 2 mins, until browned. Remove from pan and cover to keep warm. Reduce heat to medium.
2.Add onion to pan. Cook, stirring, for 5 mins, until softened and golden. Add mushroom and capsicum. Cook for 5 mins, until just tender.
3.Stir through tomato and paprika. When bubbling, reduce heat to low. Simmer for 5 mins, until sauce thickens. Stir through beef. Season.
4.Meanwhile, cook gnocchi in a large saucepan of boiling, salted water according to packet directions. Drain. Toss gnocchi with beef mixture and serve with crusty bread.

If you think the kids may not like the taste of smoked paprika- even though it isn’t hot – try sweet paprika instead. Add at little of the smoked next little. so they gradually become accustomed to the flavour.
