Method

1.Drizzle steak with half the oil, season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Spread one side of the steak with the mustard; sprinkle with parsley.
2.In a medium saucepan of boiling, salted water, cook macaroni until tender; drain.
3.In same saucepan, melt butter; add flour and cook, stirring, for 1 minute. Gradually stir in milk. Cook, stirring, until sauce boils and thickens. Remove from heat; stir in cheese and cooked macaroni. Cover to keep warm.
4.Heat remaining oil in a large non-stick frying pan; cook mushrooms, stirring, over high heat until browned and tender. Add mushrooms to macaroni mixture.
5.Add steak, mustard-side down, to same heated frying pan; cook for 3 minutes on each side for medium-rare or as desired.
6.Cut steak into 4 portions. Serve with the macaroni mixture and steamed broccoli, if desired.
