.Sprinkle yeast over combined water and oil in jug. Sift flour and salt together.
.Pour yeast mixture into flour and mix to a soft dough. Knead on a floured board until smooth and elastic.
.Place in a lightly greased bowl, covered, in a warm place for about 45 minutes, or until doubled in size.
.Meanwhile, heat oil in a frying pan. Saute onion for about 4-5 minutes, or until golden.
.Preheat oven to 220ºC (180ºC fan-forced). Punch dough down with fist. Knead and divide in halves. Press each out to form 2 circles. Ease into 2 oiled 25-30cm ovenproof frying pans.
.Spread each base with sauce. Sprinkle with onions and topping. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Serve topped with basil.
