Ingredients

basic cake mix (see recipe below)

1/2 cup halved macadamias

icing sugar, to serve

Method

1.Preheat oven to moderately slow, 160°C.

2.Lightly grease and double- line a deep 20cm round cake pan with baking paper. Spoon mixture into pan, smoothing the top.

3.Cover with halved macadamias.

4.Bake for 3 hours (cover with foil if getting too brown) until cooked when tested. Cool. Dust with icing sugar to serve.
