Method
1.Place dried fruit, fruit mince, butter, sugar, zest and juice in a large saucepan over low heat. Stir until sugar dissolves and butter melts. Remove from heat; cool.
2.Preheat oven to 160°C (140°C fan-forced). Lightly grease a 30x20cm (base measurement) slice pan with baking paper, extending paper at long sides for handles.
3.Stir chocolate and egg into fruit mixture. Sift flours over mixture; stir to combine. Spread mixture into prepared pan. Top with nuts.
4.Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a skewer inserted at centre comes out clean. Cool in pan. Cut into pieces to serve.
Try a mixture of chopped nuts. Use any dried fruit to total 340g.
