Ingredients: 350 gram frozen chocolate cake, thawed, halved horizontally; 1/4 cup kirsch or cassis; 300 millilitre thickened cream; 1 tablespoon icing sugar; 415 gram can cherries, drained; 60 gram dark chocolate, grated

350 gram frozen chocolate cake, thawed, halved horizontally

1/4 cup kirsch or cassis

300 millilitre thickened cream

1 tablespoon icing sugar

415 gram can cherries, drained

60 gram dark chocolate, grated

Method

1.Drizzle both halves of cake evenly with kirsch or cassis. Place 1 half on a baking tray.

2.In a bowl, using an electric beater, whip cream and icing sugar together until soft peaks form.

3.Spread cake half in baking tray with half the cream mixture and top with half the cherries. Place remaining cake half on top. Spread with remaining cream mixture and cherries. Sprinkle with grated chocolate. Cut into squares to serve.
