Easter cookies in a jar

Give the gift of baking this Easter without having to do any of the hard work! The resulting Easter cookies are crispy on the outside, chewy in the middle and full of chocolatey goodness

Method

1.Place all the ingredients into the jar in the order given. Press each layer down firmly and screw on the lid.
2.Include a label or card with the jar that reads:
3.Preheat oven to 170°C. Line two baking trays with baking paper.
4.Melt together 125g butter and 2 tbsp golden syrup, then stir in 1 tsp vanilla extract.
5.Tip the entire contents of the jar into a large bowl and stir well. Stir in the melted butter mixture until well combined. You may need to use your hands at the end.
6.Roll 2 tbsp of the mixture into a ball and flatten it slightly onto a prepared tray.
7.Bake cookies for 12-14 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for 10 minutes on the trays before transferring to a wire rack.
